Here is the underrated part of a couples massage, and it has nothing to do with romance: you are both in the same room, doing the same restful thing, with no logistics to coordinate. No deciding where to eat. No conversation to keep afloat. For a lot of couples, that is rarer and more valuable than a nice dinner.
A Siri couple massage is any of our massage styles, performed by two therapists on two beds in a private couple room. The Viaduct has two couple rooms; St Heliers has one. Prices are for both people together — from $200 for 60 minutes at St Heliers and $220 at the Viaduct.
You do not both have to have the same treatment
This is the single most useful thing to know, and most people do not ask. One of you can have a firm deep tissue while the other has a gentle aromatherapy. One of you can have Thai yoga massage with no oil while the other has warm coconut oil. Same room, same hour, entirely different treatments.
Which solves the most common couples-massage problem: one person wants to be worked on hard, the other wants to be left alone in a warm fog. Both are available. Just say so when you book.

What it is actually like in the room
Two beds, side by side, dim light, the door closed. You undress to your comfort while the therapists step out, and get under the towels. Then two therapists work simultaneously, roughly in time with each other.
Most couples talk for the first five minutes and then stop, which is normal and not a sign anything has gone wrong. Some people whisper the whole way through. Both are fine. The therapists will not join in.
Choosing the length
- 60 minutes — Viaduct $220 · St Heliers $200. Enough for a proper full-body treatment. The default choice, and the right one for a weeknight.
- 90 minutes — Viaduct $320 · St Heliers $280. The one we would recommend for an anniversary or a birthday. There is time for the therapist to go back over the shoulders twice.
- 120 minutes — Viaduct $430 · St Heliers $370. A genuine event. Book the evening around it and nothing else.

Which spa for which kind of date
The Viaduct is the after-work option — 1B/124 Customs Street West, a few minutes from the harbour, easy to pair with dinner in the CBD. It also has two couple rooms, which makes late bookings easier to get.
St Heliers is the slow-Sunday option — 417A Tamaki Drive, beside the water, with the beach thirty seconds away. One couple room, so weekends book out. Reserve early.

How to book it well
- Book at least a week ahead for a weekend, and further out for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day or the run-up to Christmas. Two therapists and a specific room have to line up.
- Say what each of you wants at the time of booking, including preferred pressure — not on arrival.
- Flag anything medical. Pregnancy, injuries, recent surgery, high blood pressure. Tell us at booking so we can choose safely, and check with your doctor or midwife if you are unsure.
- Arrive ten minutes early, both of you. One person arriving late shortens the treatment for both.
- Do not schedule dinner too tightly afterwards. Ninety minutes plus dressing plus paying is closer to a hundred and ten.
The honest limitation
A couples massage is a shared experience, not a deeper one. If your back is genuinely in trouble, book yourself a solo 90-minute deep tissue or hot stone massage where the therapist can take their time with you specifically — and save the couple room for the occasion it deserves.
